Interactivity and Game Design
The following game assets were designed and painted using Cinema 4D and Substance Painter. Then the assets are put into Unity where the game is built. Game developing comes along with asset designs, sounds designs, character designs, and layout designs. These games for an Animation and Interactivity college course.
Cat and Mouse Game
The Cat and Mouse game is an original idea for a game where you have to avoid obstacles and make it to the finish before time runs out. You start off as a rat character who is avoiding being hit by cat claws and yarn balls. Your goal is to make it to the prized cheese before the end of the timer.

Character Design
Modeling the body and limbs was the first step to creating the rat hero. After that is done the character asset is UV unwrapped and placed in Substance Painter. Substance Painter is used to give our character texture and color.
Character Movement
Along with visual design our character needs coding and animation to make is a working hero asset. Cinema is used to give the character bones and joints. Then controls are added to those joints to aid in animating. After rigging the character and freezing the joints and controls animating the character comes in to play.
Character Animations
The video below show the character moving as it jumps, idols, and runs
Course Layout and Design
When planning out the layout for the game it's best to sketch or make a visual representation.
Obstacle Design
In the Cat and Mouse game there are cat paws and yarn balls that try to push you aside. There are other designed objects that are used for lighting or platforms.
Particle Systems
Particle systems can be seen at the beginning where there are matches and the end where the cheese has stink particles.
